Metal Smith Jewelry

As a jewelry designer, I handcraft my jewelry using a hand saw, torch and various hand tools such as hammers and texturing stamps. Sterling silver is my metal of choice. A lot of artisan skills are involved in metalsmithing, like sawing, sanding, soldering bezels and accent metals, cleaning, oxidizing, stone setting and more. Each piece of metal jewelry has a unique process, depending on style and intricacy. It's a relatively slow craft for me since I want each piece to be well made and durable!

Stone Jewelry from Washington State

Jewelry of the Sea

Woodland Metalsmith jewelry is created with semi-precious raw gemstones that I collect from beaches and river beds of Washington State. Once I collect these beach rocks, I head to my lapidary machine to cut, shape and polish them into cabochons for setting into pendant necklaces, earrings and rings. Some of the main stones I work with are Agates and Jaspers. Rock hounding is a huge passion of mine so I'm happy that I can incorporate it into my jewelry to make it extra unique!
