    Making Epidote Jewelry

I create each piece of natural Epidote jewelry by collecting my own beach and river stones on the Olympic Peninsula, which can vary in different shades from dark to lime green. I take it home where I cut, shape and polish it into a cabochon. After polishing the Epidote, I craft a design for a unique piece of jewelry. Then begins the metalsmithing process of hand sawing, soldering, texturing, stone setting and more using sterling silver. It's a time intensive process to ensure that your Epidote jewelry is high quality and long-lasting.

    About Epidote

Epidote is a silicate mineral that can range from dark to light green. Epidote can be found with other minerals such as Quartz and Feldspar. One popular stone that contains Epidote is Unakite, which is comprised of Pink Orthoclase and Epidote. Epidote can be found in mass and also in veins. I find Epidote in river beds and beaches.
