    The Jasper Jewelry Making Process

I personally gather each piece of Jasper by sourcing my own beach stones from the Olympic Peninsula, which showcase a variety of colors including yellow, black, purple, red, and orange.

Once I bring the stones home, I meticulously cut, shape, and polish them into beautiful cabochons. After achieving the perfect polish on the Jasper, I design a one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry.

The next step involves the intricate metalsmithing process, which includes hand sawing, soldering, texturing, stone setting, and much more. My primary metal of choice is sterling silver.

This process is quite time-consuming, but it is essential to guarantee that your natural Jasper jewelry is of the highest quality and built to last.

    About Jasper

Natural Jasper is a non-transparent form of Chalcedony, which is a type of micro-crystalline Quartz combined with various minerals. It boasts a hardness rating of 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs scale, making it an exceptionally durable semi-precious gemstone suitable for jewelry.

Jasper comes in a wide range of colors and patterns, ensuring that each piece is one-of-a-kind. This gemstone is commonly found in regions with volcanic activity, making it relatively plentiful in Washington State.

Associated with the Earth element, Jasper promotes tranquility and stability for its wearer. It serves as an ideal secondary birthstone for those born in March and for individuals under the Zodiac sign Aries.
