Sagenite Agate Focal Pendant Necklace

This reversible rare Washington Sagenite Agate focal pendant is designed for someone who enjoys primitive style. There's a lot going on in this piece, with Sagenite patterns, orbs and plumes. The adjustable hypoallergenic necklace makes it easy to take on and off.

This necklace was completely handcrafted by me (Kahlia) in Washington State from my school bus work studio. I collected the Agate from a beach on the Olympic Peninsula and cut and polished it myself. I have never seen one like it and probably won't ever again.

Agate is a variety of Chalcedony, a type of micro-crystalline Quartz, and has a hardness of 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs scale, making it a very durable gemstone. Agate can be found in an array of colors and patterns of bands and orbs, making each one unique. It's found in areas with volcanic activity so it is fairly abundant in Washington State. Agate is associated with the Earth element, bringing emotional stability and confidence to the wearer, and is the perfect secondary birthstone for the month of May.
